What is the MeadFest?
Basically, it's an excuse to drink lots of great mead! Both a mead tasting and a competition, it's a benefit for Orpheus Pagan Chamber Choir. With Colorado meaderies sharing (and selling) their meads and a community tasting table for homebrewers, it's a a great afternoon of tasting and talking about mead!

How can I participate?
If you're a homebrewer, you can bring mead to share at the community tasting tables. This is a great chance to get immediate feedback from folks who lovemead and to talk mead with other homebrewers.

You can also join the homebrewer's division of the competition. It's $10 for a one or two bottle entry. You can enter in as many categories as you like.

Is the competition AHA-sanctioned? Yes!

Please note some important changes in this year's competition!
Because of its wonderful growth each year, the judging for the competition will be taking place off-site the evening before the MeadFest. In order that our registrar and stewards can organize the competition prior to the judging, we are not able to accommodate walk-in entries this year. 

You can send or drop off your entries from Monday, August 31 through Monday, September 28. Please see the information sheets below for complete information.
