February Out Meeting at Occidental Brewing Company
When
02/12/2013
6:30 PM - 9:30 PM
Location
Occidental Brewing Company
Our February meeting has been rescheduled to the 12th (Tuesday) on account of Valentine's Day.
All active members are cordially invited to join us at
Occidental Brewing Company
on February 12th for a great out meeting. Occidental, which opened in 2011, specializes in brewing continental-inspired, German-style beers. The brewery is located in Cathedral Park Place, right next to Cathedral Park at the base of the St. Johns Bridge.
In addition to the brewer, Ben Engler, showing us around the brewery, we're pleased to announce Abram Goldman-Armstrong will present on Cascadian Dark Ale. With the
Heart of Cascadia
on the horizon, aspiring
Heart
winners will want to catch Abram's talk in preparation to brew their entries.
As usual, you must be a current OBC member to attend this out meeting. No guests or non-members please
. Also, no renewals or new memberships will be processed at this event so please make sure that you use our website to join or become current before the meeting. Thanks for your understanding.
Please note that, in an attempt to try something new, the club will
NOT
be hosting food for this meeting.
Instead, food will be available for individual purchase by the members. The OBC has made arrangements for a new, local food vendor to be on site to sell food during the meeting. The
Urban German Grill
will be at the meeting to offer a selection of locally-made German-style sausages (with sauerkraut and bun) for only $5 to $6 each. Homemade Bavarian Pretzels will also be available for purchase at a cost of $3.50. We encourage you to support this local food vendor and plan to purchase food at the meeting.
